In 2023, Home of the Mercy Foundation witnessed profound growth and impact as it continued its mission to serve the community with compassion and dedication. Among its notable achievements, the foundation proudly established a House for Youth, providing a nurturing environment for recovering addicts, and a full-time House for Grandparents, catering to over 28 elderly residents.
A highlight of the year was the heartwarming graduation ceremony held for the grandparents, celebrating their journey and accomplishments within the supportive community of the foundation.
Looking ahead to 2024, Home of the Mercy Foundation aims to extend its reach and impact by introducing an innovative after-school program for kids, called PASI. This program will run from 2-5pm and will offer boys and girls a safe space where dedicated nuns will assist them with homework and engage them in various enriching activities.
Furthermore, the foundation envisions the creation of a new center for recovering addicts, guided by four core principles: God and Faith, Person - Family, Community, and Service.
This center will serve as a beacon of hope and support for individuals striving to overcome addiction, nurturing their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
As the foundation embarks on this journey into 2024, it extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to its achievements in 2023. To those who wish to join in its future endeavors, Home of the Mercy Foundation warmly welcomes your support and participation as it continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves. Together, let us build a brighter, more compassionate future for all.
